The Chat function displays a log of Agent- and consumer-initiated events that occur during the current session. It appears when you are connected to a consumer’s device. You may also use this tab to exchange written messages with the consumer. The Chat function also includes an indicator with the number of chat messages that you have missed when you do not have this tab in the foreground. This notification appears as a number in red text, such as (2).
To send a message to the consumer, enter your message in the field and then click the Send button. Messages received from the consumer will also appear in this tab. On Windows and Macintosh computers, sending a chat message will automatically open the Chat window on the consumer’s screen.
Clicking the Buzz button buzzes the consumer's device, which allows Agents to get a consumer's attention when the Support.com Cloud application goes to the background.
